End of the Week Round Up

Well I’ve had some setbacks, but overall I had a good week. I know that the only reason I had lunch Thursday was this blog. I felt accountable to the blog so I made a microwave pizza! I did however go out that night to buy fruit and had a full meal so I think it balances out.
Today I had a setback in that I did not have lunch until 5 p.m. I’m still missing dinner but Derrik my Fiancé went away with a surprise errand. An errand that I believe may result in dinner.
And in fact that errand was to surprise me with a DQ chicken strip basket and pumpkin blizzard!
What a dinner to end cap my 1st week of getting three meals a day!
Stay full everyone, have a great weekend!

End of Day One: Results

Today gets marked in the win column I had three meals today. They weren’t the most balanced meals: breakfast burrito, two hard shell tacos and one bowl of Mac and cheese. But they were three meals so I’m happy with that.  I nearly did not get lunch, but Dennis a friend at Grand View pushed me to go to Taco Bell. I’m glad I did, it was $0.65 taco day! I might make Taco Tuesday a weekly treat; you can’t beat $ 1.37 for two epic tacos!
I’m intending to begin the next stage of my plan soon. The next part of my plan involves building full real meals. Meals that consist of: an entrée, a vegetable, a fruit and a desert.  A solid real meal like mom used to make for us kids. Very 1950’s house wife of me I know, but I’ve not broken out the pearls yet!
In fact, I may be going the very different way of the bento box! Bento box building is not just about pretty food; bento has guild lines for balanced meals.  I’m hoping that by sticking to the basic ratios, I’ll have consistently good and filling lunches.
So on that note, good night and good lunch everyone!

Day One: Strong start and planing around challenges

This morning started out well. I’ve had a breakfast burrito and cider. So I’m 1 for 3 in the goal of having 3 meals a day. Today is a pool league night so one challenge will be making dinner. I hate cooking as soon as I get home, but if I don’t I won’t eat until Derrik cooks dinner. The problem is that Derrik will not get home until 11:30-Mid-night. So I have to plan dinner so I won’t forget.
The other challenge is lunch; I always forget to make it before I leave for Grand View. So I’ll have to finish this blog and do my homework then figure out lunch. I wish I could afford to eat at school every day. But I’m not paying $3.50 for a grilled cheese sandwich!  My plan is to pack something for lunch today then go to Hy-Vee after class and buy some quick and easy dinner and lunch options.
Have a good day world, together we’ll fight my food block.

My Epiphany: Change Starts Today

Skinny Anonymous
Confessions from my life long battle with food issues.
I have been teased for being a 'skinny girl' for most of my youth and all of my adult life. With this blog I am hoping to chronicle my coming to peace with my food issues and changing my bad habits.
I was told I was too skinny today by my doctor.  This is a ‘realization’ I have been coming to for a long time.  I am ready to deal with my food issues and get myself to a healthy weight.  For those of you wondering I am 5’8 ¾” tall and 126.6lbs. The ideal body weight for my age, height and gender:  140lbs.
Plan and simple I am very underweight.
My plan starts small:
Work on having three full meals every day.
