Not much news

I did have a good Christmas, I hope you did too! Mom showed worry about my weight, by giving me snacks on Christmas. I’m now the proud owner of Hawaiian Punch gummy snacks and some great oat bars! Love my mum she loves to take care of me.

Not very good, but not every bad

Had myself weighed at the school clinic yesterday and I'm 129.6lbs. Not as big as a gain as I was hoping but a start. I really need to start getting three meals a day.

Three meals Days are the best!

I don't have a lot of time, this paper I'm writing to due tomorrow morning. I just wanted to brag, I got so much food today I got a tummy ache! Ha! I've had more then three meals today, I've even had snacks!
I also did well yesterday getting three meals. I can say for sure that having $0.65 crunchy tacos are a good good thing. As is this blog, because it give me the pressure I need to keep eating.
Good Night and Good Luck folks!

Welcome to Wednesday

Wednesday has come and I’m doing all right.  Breakfast was at Hy-Vee and I have $6.00 in my wallet to get a snack between classes. I’d buy a full lunch but I can’t afford it at Stacks the campus option for quick meals. So far this week I can’t recall any major food issues, so I must be doing better.
I have been eating when I feel hungry, so I think I’m doing better. I’m still debating the pros/cons to getting weighed at the health center.
That is all for now folks, keep your nose clean and I’ll see you Friday.

Or see you Friday!

So I forgot that I was planning on blogging on Wednesday, I’ll be sure to put it on the calendar for next week. I spent my Wednesday recovering from the election.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I skipped breakfast yesterday until 4 in the afternoon. But I ate it damn it! I forgot to have breakfast until I was pulling my boots on that morning. ADDers have horrid memories; I forgot deodorant earlier this week. I have put a reminder on my phone to have breakfast so I’m hoping that helps.
Today I’m doing really well; I had brown sugar rice for breakfast! I already have lunch planned out: leftovers from last nights dinner at Cracker Barrel. Dinner is all planned too,Derrik and I are going out  with another couple. I love sushi and Derrik is getting pizza so we'll both get feel good food. :D
I am weighing the pros and cons of getting a scale. My mom thinks it would be a bad idea and I agree with her.
I just wish I knew if I was getting better or worse. I’ve thought about going to the campus health center and asking if a nurse had time to weight me.  I don’t want to obsess about the number on the scale however. My big worry with knowing my weight is that I’ll feel bad the pounds aren’t adding on.

Bad last week hopful for this new week

More than a week has gone past since I last blogged. I’m ashamed to say that I never had a day where I had three meals in one day. I did get close yesterday, but I can’t recall what I had for dinner so I’d say I did not have dinner. Saturday I did eat when I was hungry so that was a plus.
I am working on a more in-depth blog for later this week. I know that when I avoid blogging, I feel less accountable for my eating habits. Thus, by blogging on a schedule I hope I’ll do more to have a good report for the blog.
See you all Wednesday!

End of the Week Round Up

Well I’ve had some setbacks, but overall I had a good week. I know that the only reason I had lunch Thursday was this blog. I felt accountable to the blog so I made a microwave pizza! I did however go out that night to buy fruit and had a full meal so I think it balances out.
Today I had a setback in that I did not have lunch until 5 p.m. I’m still missing dinner but Derrik my Fiancé went away with a surprise errand. An errand that I believe may result in dinner.
And in fact that errand was to surprise me with a DQ chicken strip basket and pumpkin blizzard!
What a dinner to end cap my 1st week of getting three meals a day!
Stay full everyone, have a great weekend!

End of Day One: Results

Today gets marked in the win column I had three meals today. They weren’t the most balanced meals: breakfast burrito, two hard shell tacos and one bowl of Mac and cheese. But they were three meals so I’m happy with that.  I nearly did not get lunch, but Dennis a friend at Grand View pushed me to go to Taco Bell. I’m glad I did, it was $0.65 taco day! I might make Taco Tuesday a weekly treat; you can’t beat $ 1.37 for two epic tacos!
I’m intending to begin the next stage of my plan soon. The next part of my plan involves building full real meals. Meals that consist of: an entrée, a vegetable, a fruit and a desert.  A solid real meal like mom used to make for us kids. Very 1950’s house wife of me I know, but I’ve not broken out the pearls yet!
In fact, I may be going the very different way of the bento box! Bento box building is not just about pretty food; bento has guild lines for balanced meals.  I’m hoping that by sticking to the basic ratios, I’ll have consistently good and filling lunches.
So on that note, good night and good lunch everyone!

Day One: Strong start and planing around challenges

This morning started out well. I’ve had a breakfast burrito and cider. So I’m 1 for 3 in the goal of having 3 meals a day. Today is a pool league night so one challenge will be making dinner. I hate cooking as soon as I get home, but if I don’t I won’t eat until Derrik cooks dinner. The problem is that Derrik will not get home until 11:30-Mid-night. So I have to plan dinner so I won’t forget.
The other challenge is lunch; I always forget to make it before I leave for Grand View. So I’ll have to finish this blog and do my homework then figure out lunch. I wish I could afford to eat at school every day. But I’m not paying $3.50 for a grilled cheese sandwich!  My plan is to pack something for lunch today then go to Hy-Vee after class and buy some quick and easy dinner and lunch options.
Have a good day world, together we’ll fight my food block.

My Epiphany: Change Starts Today

Skinny Anonymous
Confessions from my life long battle with food issues.
I have been teased for being a 'skinny girl' for most of my youth and all of my adult life. With this blog I am hoping to chronicle my coming to peace with my food issues and changing my bad habits.
I was told I was too skinny today by my doctor.  This is a ‘realization’ I have been coming to for a long time.  I am ready to deal with my food issues and get myself to a healthy weight.  For those of you wondering I am 5’8 ¾” tall and 126.6lbs. The ideal body weight for my age, height and gender:  140lbs.
Plan and simple I am very underweight.
My plan starts small:
Work on having three full meals every day.
